FacebookDiscovery FAQs
If you have a question about FacebookDiscovery it will probably be answered here.
What is FacebookDiscovery?
Starting with a simple one eh?
Well, FacebookDiscovery is basically a chat client for Facebook. Instead of going to Facebook in your browser to chat you can simply chat to your friends on FacebookDiscovery. It's designed to be similar to Windows Live Messenger, AIM and Yahoo! Messenger - but it's made for the Facebook network.
What do I need?
A Facebook account, friends on Facebook and of course FacebookDiscovery.
Do my contacts need FacebookDiscovery?
Not at all, FacebookDiscovery behaves exactly like Facebook does in the browser, except there is no browser!
How good does my computer need to be?
As long as your computer is powerful enough to run Windows XP then FacebookDiscovery will run smoothly on your computer. FacebookDiscovery was designed to be lightweight for your PC yet heavyweight in features. FacebookDiscovery does require the .Net Framework to be installed, if it isn't then the FacebookDiscovery installer will install it for you.
Is it free? Will I get a virus? Is my Facebook account safe?
It is entirely free! There is no spyware, ads, virus or any other nasty things included. We promise! We do not collect any information, your Facebook profile information is stored (in a very secure form) on only your computer and is deleted upon un-installation.
Is FacebookDiscovery affiliated any way with Facebook?
No it isn't.
Why does FacebookDiscovery exist?
Facebook chat is great, but it lacks a proper user interface. A lot of people are used to using Instant Messaging software like Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger. FacebookDiscovery was created because some people prefer software specifically designed for the computer instead of having to use a browser.
